I think I have my Oncologist stumped!

Saw my doctor today. Last night my b/p was sky high....I had been doing better with it.

So another drug has been entered into the mix. We will see. I actually made the nurse sit with me and make a time schedule to make sure I get everything in!! I am currently taking 21 pills a day. (my head is shaking now, cuz I struggle with taking an aspirin!)

Just to clarify since some have asked. I do not have Hypertension. This is totally a drug induced issue....from the chemo pills I am on now. Similar to Avastin. When the time comes I am no longer on this medication, my b/p will be normal. But trust me, I will never minimalize when I hear someone has high blood pressure. Mercy!

We did have a wonderful Easter. You can see bits of it on my other blog, Thinkin' of Home.

Yes, we did feel the earthquake....very unusual here.....

I hope this new medication works. I take BP medication because of another drug and it is so aggravating. But no where near the aggravation of taking 21 pills a day, so I won't complain.

I am so glad you had a wonderful Raster. We did, too!

Praise be that they know WHY, now if they can only get the HOW down you'll be good to go. Are you still on the chemo?
Lots of hugs and prayers! Me.

I am so sorry that these meds are such a challenge ... I take 15 pills a day to stay 'normal' & I don't have the disease you have, Ceekay. Bless you, sweet lady ...

Hope you had a wonderful & joyful Easter.

Have a beautiful week.

Hi Ceekay,
21 pills a day! I am glad the nurse was helpful in making a schedule, I would have trouble managing that too. I hope the new med is able to help control the bp better.

HI Ceekay ~ I am a 40 year ild with extremely high blood pressure and didn't even know it till about 2 weeks ago. It is amazing how awful you can feel and not know what its from. HBP would have never occured to me. The medication I am on now has changed all that instantly ~ I am very lucky. I do hope all this medication is helping you every day ~ continually hoping and praying for you.

Blessings Ceekay, I wanted to share that the Lord impressed you upon my heart today so thought I'd stop by and see how your treatment was going....usually I visit your other blog. Things have changed so much with new treatments-when my sister had Ovarian cancer, she just took chemo through an i.v. I pray they are making more headway and finding better treatments for this. Hang in there girl-you are such a hero.
Hugs, Noreen
