Chemo Day Tuesday

Just to let you know that all went well with the chemo on Tuesday. I was pretty much done when I got home, but didn't sleep the best...which is usual. I crashed this morning for a couple hours...but probably will sleep really well tonight! Feeling pretty good. My red blood count is dipping a little low, so I have to watch that. This is another norm for me. Sometimes I have had to have blood transfusions...but I am eating red meat and beets to try to avoid that some. I try to avoid taking Iron pills...as, well, you know what they can do to you...but if it gets any lower, I will have to do it!

Looking forward to Friday...Sherry from Country Wings in Phoenix is coming over for a craft day!

Vertical and Fun! It doesn't get much better than that!

rest is good! glad to hear everything went well yesterday. Have you looked into unsulfured blackstrap molasses for raising your iron? i can't take supplements because my body doesn't like iron, which leaves me anemic. So i've started taking 1 teaspoon of the unsulfured (has to be unsulfured) blackstrap molasses and putting it in a cup of hot tea and drinking it once a day. i started with 2 teaspoons but that was a little hard on me so i reduced it to 1 and my body isn't hating it. i've felt much better too and i know it's from that. it's really good for raising iron levels, magnesium, calcium and i forget what else. you should look into it and see if it would be something worth trying or not. it's much easier than supplements.

Take pictures! I wanna see what you guys are working on!

Hi Ceekay Sweetie...
I wanted to pop over here, and let you know that I have left a little something over at my blog for you.

I am still running a fever tonight. My head is throbbing and I'm still cold. I took my flu shot this year, and it doesn't feel like the flu. I am just not sure.

Stop by sweetie. It will pick you up.

Country hugs and so much love...Sherry

Ceekay, I'm so glad you have this blog now. I know you were trying to keep your other blog from becoming all about the big C, but so many of us are praying for you and want to know about your journey. (Vertical is good!). Take care of yourself. Hugs, laurie

Ceekay, I am praying for you and I am in high hopes this new medication/chemo will be the thing to put our girl into remission. I am so proud and amazed at your for the positive, Christian, and sweet spirit you have through all this. I love your Thinking of Home blog, and I appreciate the idea that you have of separating the two... Your journey of the flesh and your journey of the spirit... I see through you that we can be in control of the spirit through the Lord's grace MUCH more than the other, but I pray for remission and recovery for you!!! Healing happens, and you are doing amazingly well! Hugs from Icy cold Missouri...

Just popped in to say "hi" & see how you're doing, Honey. Hang in there!
Don't forget to eat some spinach salads to increase your iron levels. Yummy & good for you, too. :D
